KOTA BELUD ETHNIC SUNDAY MARKET (5 HOURS)

Drive 75km north along the Crocker Range to Kota Belud, the horsy capital of the Bajau community. Visit the biggest open-air ‘Tamu’ (Market) in North Borneo. Handicraft and live-stock, ranging from poultry to goats and water buffaloes, are sold alongside with local native hinterland products. A weekly social event for the rural folks, the tamu is social-historical significance and provides goods photo-opportunities to capture some of Borneo’s cultural heritage. (Refreshment)
